سمكة الملاك وودهيد (Woodhead's Angelfish)

تم وصف سمكة الملاك وودهيد حديثاً كنوع جديد من أسماك الملاك القزمية (Pygmy Angelfish). كانت تُعرف سابقاً باسم سمكة الملاك هيرالدي الصفراء والسوداء (Yellow & Black Heraldi Angelfish). تتميز هذه السمكة بلون أصفر زاهٍ مع شريط أسود داكن على النصف الخلفي من الزعنفة الظهرية. توجد هذه السمكة الفريدة في المياه النقية للمحيط الهادئ الجنوبي، وتشكل إضافة رائعة لأي حوض بحري مُستقر.

بيئة الحوض المناسبة

تحتاج سمكة الملاك وودهيد إلى حوض بسعة 70 جالوناً أو أكثر مع أماكن للاختباء وكميات كبيرة من الصخور الحية لترعى على الطحالب الدقيقة النامية عليها. في أحواض الشعاب المرجانية قد تقوم هذه السمكة بالقرص على الشعاب المرجانية الصلبة كبيرة البوليب وأغطية المحار.

النظام الغذائي

The Woodhead's Angelfish was recently described as a new species of Pygmy Angelfish. Formerly known as the Yellow & Black Heraldi Angelfish, this fish is bright yellow with a jet black stripe on the rear half of the dorsal fin. This unique fish is found in the pristine waters of the South Pacific this unique angelfish will make a wonderful addition to the established marine aquarium.

The Woodhead's Angelfish requires a 70 gallon or larger aquarium with hiding places and large amounts of live rock to graze on the microalgae growth. In the reef aquarium, this species may nip at large-polyped stony corals and clam mantles.

The diet of the Woodhead's Angelfish should include Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.
