Mystery Wrasse

هذا النوع النادر يناسب الأحواض التي سعتها 90 جالونًا أو أكثر، مع وجود الكثير من الصخور الحية وقاع رملي. وهي خيار ممتاز لأحواض الشعاب المرجانية، حيث تتعايش بسلام مع معظم أسماك الشعاب الشائعة، بما في ذلك أنواع أخرى من أسماك الراس. وتقضي هذه السمكة وقتها في البحث المستمر عن الغذاء الحي على شكل قشريات صغيرة مثل قواقع الهرمية والديدان المسطحة التكافلية. وعند وصولها إلى مرحلة النضج، قد تبدأ سمكة الميستري راس في افتراس الروبيان الزخرفي الصغير الذي يُضاف إلى الحوض بعد استقرارها فيه.

ينبغي أن يشمل نظامها الغذائي روبيان الميسيس المجمد المدعم بالفيتامينات، والروبيان الملحي المجمد المدعم بالفيتامينات، وأطعمة لحمية أخرى، إضافة إلى رقائق وبليتات بحرية عالية الجودة.

The Mystery Wrasse, sometimes referred to as the Whitebarred Wrasse or Fivebarred Wrasse has yellow, blue, and purple hues outlining a smile on the face. The majority of the body is reddish-maroon with thin, white vertical stripes and an eyespot surrounded by a yellowish hue on its green tail. Some younger fish will have more green in the body, which will quickly change to red in the aquarium.

This hard to find species is suitable for a 90 gallon or larger aquarium with lots of live rock and a sandy bottom. It is an excellent fish for a reef aquarium and passive with most popular reef fish, including other wrasses. It is constantly searching for live foods in the form of small crustaceans like pyramidellid snails and commensal flatworms. When full grown, mature Mystery Wrasse may take a liking to smaller ornamental shrimp that are introduced after the wrasse is established in the reef aquarium.

The Mystery Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.
